In my experience at newtons heating and air conditioning i have found that when people are getting ac repairs done not only can the price vary greatly from company to company but also the quality of work. When i recommend any type of service because of the experience i have in the trade industry I generally recommend smaller mom and pop shops. I remember going to a customer home before where they had gotten a quote for replacing a condenser fan motor and while this motor was much more expensive than normal to purchase at the supply house i could not believe the price they got. For us we came out to just over $1000 but the same motor from a different company was approximately $2500. So i started thinking to myself how can there be such a wide range of pricing? I do believe some of it comes from a larger company having a higher over head but $1500 dollars in difference, I just could not think how that could be justified. This is just one of the the reasons of why we recommend you be selective for your air conditioning company or really any other trade company. Now for the other side i can not count how many times i have been able to fix a unit that had been condemned from a previous company. Just because of the of the age of their system. Now the craziest part of this is that the customers that I’ve seen that have gotten the highest quote for the ac repair are also typically the ones that do the worst quality of work. Now on the other flip side it seems to be the 2nd worse is the companies that are the absolute cheapest. So in conclusion cheap labor tends to not be good, and good labor tends to not be cheap. So finding a good company that is somewhere in between seems to be the trick for all of your HVAC repairs and at newtons heating and air conditioning we like to think we are that middle ground.
