At Newton's heating and Air Conditioning we are focus on repairing your system and view replacement of your equipment as a last resort. If we do recommend replacement, its typically because of a major component has gone bad such as a compressor or a major leak and the unit is not under warranty. Other wise we recommend fixing what you have, even if the unit is older.
We recommend getting a maintenance done 2 times a year for equipment that is 4 years or older and once a year for new equipment to, 3 years old. its important to get maintenance done because there small components that keep the big components better for longer.
Yes! You will have a parts warranty on your ac system and any contractor can access this warranty regardless of who installed the unit. There is a couple of ways for your warranty to be cut from a 10 year warranty to just 5. Most systems have a 10 year parts warranty, however, if you purchase your home and the unit is already installed and you transfer home owner ship this may cut your warranty to 5 years. The good news is that all new equipment that gets installed will always have 10 year part warranty due to laws that recently passed making Air Conditioning equipment manufacturers have to honor their 10 year parts warranty.
We recommenced getting a maintenance done twice a year. Once before summer time and once before winter. We want to make sure your ac is working properly going into each season.
